In Shakespeare’s “Merchant of
Venice”, Bassanio describes the hair of Portia as “a golden mesh to entrap the
hearts of men faster than gnats in cobwebs.”
Nowadays, fashion trend becomes essential topic to discussed
by teens. That really happens as so many sources from internet, make us should
consider updated fashion. Fashion is not always mean “how cool is your
clothes!” but mostly “how cool you are!” That`s why, hair be a crown for teens
around the world.
In my opinion, life is like a hair style. If now you feel
cool with your own hairsyle, it is not mean you`ll comfort with it tomorrow
morning or even next an hour. Life is so elastic, your paradigm of this life
may change as your environment change. The flexibillity of life make us, should
know the best way to comprehend our own life.
A few days ago, I had pathways
to leadership program. That program made me understand the real life
principe. The mentor told me, many tips to be a real winner in this life. “7
Habits of Highly Effective Teens,” is Sean Covey`s book that used as a source
of that program. It told that, there are 7 habits which can make us be
effective teens; be proactive, begin with the end in mind, put first things
first, think win-win, seek first to understand then to be understood,
synergize, and sharpen the saw. Before we use that 7 habits we must consider our paradigm.
What is paradigm it self? Stephen R.Covey (Sean Covey`s
dad) said that paradigm is the way an individual perceives, understands, and
interprets the surrounding world. So, our paradigm of this life can influence
our success in the future. If you have paradigm “I am a successful person next
7 years,” so your soul will do the best to make you, a successful person 7
years later. And vice versa, when someone has paradigm “I am failed person.”
Paradigm is different between one person with the others.
It can be changed by passion and also by environment. Here, I would like to give
underline that, life is just like your hairstyle. Look, you will say that the
straight-haired person is dilligent one as he/she always has time to take care
his/her hair. How about curly-haired person?
But, if we always look this life is just like hair style,
I believe that everyone can not make their life “begin with the end in mind” why? Because, they really do not have a
meaningful goal in this life. That is why, I choose to make my head be bald.
Sure, if we want successful life, think that life is more
than just choosing a hair style. Life is art of precise in making
decision. You choose that hairstyle, you are ready to get feed back from your
friends. So, how responsible are you, with your decision! Go out from your
pleasent zone, and you will start your adventure. Why do not you just make your
