Everyday, teachers give us so many advises. Their advises are very helpful for us to do something better. But how if they give us a lot of advises about something that we think, we have true and don`t need he/she advises again. "Advise, why do not you just try it mom?"
Teachers take a role as our parent in school, every activities there must be under his/her control. Control means that they have right to straighten our lines. So, we must obey their advises. But, how about "not" good teacher? I mean, a teacher who does not do their duties; busy with their own business, their childern in home, even their laptop. Must we obey their advises?
Because of that questions, there are a lot of arguments about giving teacher a grade. As the students are the closest ones to their teachers, so the idea is grading teachers by the students. Look funny, yah? But, Student opinions are important. An effective teacher is going to regularly take the pulse of her classroom to make sure all kids feel comfortable asking questions, feel like they're part of a classroom community, and feel respected and valued. But, when it comes to formal evaluation, it seems a little odd to give a children the responsibility of evaluating a teacher when they might not actually have the skill or the maturity to recognize a good one.
In America, at the end of the year, students complete a survey about each teacher. They give constructive criticism, not give a grade! Teachers` teaching method is very important to support the students performance in classroom, so criticism is very essential. We have to think the good way to give our construction, for example by reflection paper. So, the teachers do not feel that we (the students) act too impudent.
Finally, the students must get their straight line with the teacher`s guide. Whether students or teachers must construct each others in good way. After that, "Students, are you ready to give A star for your teachers?" (gal)
